Dr. Chen received her DPT from the University of Southern California and her MS in developmental kinesiology from Bowling Green. She also obtained her MS from East China Normal University. She completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency with the Fortanasce & Associates Physical Therapy Group. She holds multiple certificates, including; Certified Pilates Instructor, Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy and Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Therapy. She currently works at the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy, Continuing Education Department, where she works as a Liaison/Translator/Co-instructor and Chinese Translation Coordinator. She is the Coordinator and lead translator of 10 clinical practice guidelines for Chinese Journal of Sports Medicine and the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy. She works with the Training Bureau of State Sports General Administration of China 2008. She also works as Physical Therapist for Fortanasce & Associates Physical Therapy as well as the Director of Rehabilitation-based Pilates and Pre-natal / Post-partum Programs. Other positions held, include Committee Coordinator, Clinical Faculty with USC BKN&PT/Fortanasce & Associates/OptimisCorp/Chinese Olympic. She was the Chief Rehabilitation Specialist for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, National Training Center. Prior positions held include teaching assistant and research assistant. Dr. Chen is very active in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation in China and her goal is to bring bridge the gap between the standard of care in the US and China..
